CADIA Announces DEI Accelerator Program for Automotive Industry Professionals

12-week DEI certification course will begin September 1

Livonia, Mich., August 3, 2021 – To further its commitment to diversifying the automotive industry, the Center for Automotive Diversity, Inclusion & Advancement (CADIA) today announced the CADIA DEI Accelerator Program for Fall 2021. The first DEI certification course designed specifically to meet the need of automotive professionals; the 12-week program will begin September 1, 2021. Participants completing the program will receive DEI Certification from CADIA.

“We are proud to be able to offer this program to the automotive industry,” said Cheryl Thompson, CADIA Founder and CEO. “This program was created on the belief that DEI champions are stronger together, and we look forward to kicking off our first cohort in September.”

The DEI Accelerator Program offers a structured opportunity for automotive industry professionals to learn DEI best practices, solve complex organizational challenges, and build a DEI professional network. Focus areas for the program include DEI Foundations, Strategy Development, Retooling Talent Systems and Inclusive Leader Tools.

The program is open to all formal and informal DEI practitioners within the automotive industry, as well as people leaders and those about to lead teams. A short application is required to participate, and admission to the program is on a rolling basis.
